Odisha all set to host 2023 Men’s Hockey World Cup

Bhubaneswar, Aug. 23: Odisha is all ready to host 2023 Men’s World Cup Hockey. This is for the second time the state is going to host such a gala event.
In 2017, the state successfully hosted Asian Athletics Championship.
On Monday, a high-level meeting by the Chief Minister Office (CMO) was held here at Lokseva Bhawan for smooth conduct of the World Cup Hockey.
Presided over by chief secretary Suresh Mohapatra, the meeting was attended by 5-T secretary V K Pandian and many other senior officials.
The World Cup matches will be held in two cities- Bhubaneswar and Rourkera.
The meeting discussed various challenges. The Chief Secretary said in order to make the tournament memorable, for all the players, organising officials and the spectators, everyone should make their best efforts.
