JAJPUR,JAN 14 : Two persons were killed and five sustained injuries in a road accident at Gopalpur Chhak on the National highway no- 16 under Kuakhia police station in Jajpur district on Saturday morning when their four-wheeler dashed with a stationary truck.

Both the deceased persons have been identified as Biswajit Maiti ( 33) of Badabelari village and Dipti Prava Panda (30) of Gadaharishpur village in Jagatsinghpur district. Seven persons were going to Ma Tarini temple at Ghatagaon when the accident happened. Police believe the accident was a result of dense fog.

Police seized both the vehicles and sent both the bodies to the district government hospital at Jajpur for autopsy, said the Sibaprasad Behera, the IIC of Kuakhia police station.
