Boudha,Dec 20 : BouToday i.e on 20.12.2024, a short while ago, Sri Krushna Chandra Sahu & Sri Adit Kumar Das both Textile Inspectors, O/o Asst. Director ,Textile, Boudh have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while each demanding and taking bribe of Rs. 5000/-(Rupees Five thousand) from a Complainant who happens to be functionary of a weavers cooperative society of Bounsuni, Boudh for processing the file and facilitating release of bill from the BCCB Bank, Boudh towards supply of weaving material (sarees). The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused persons namely Sri Sahu and Sri Das and seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of each from DA angle.

In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. Case No. 21 dated 19.12,2024 U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against both the accused persons namely Sri Sahu and Sri Das.
