7,500 delegates from across India and 16 countries to Join Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave

Bhubaneswar, Jan. 25: As Odisha prepares for its two-day grand investment meet—‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’—the number of countries expressing interest in joining the event and signing pacts with the state government continues to rise.
According to state minister for industries and skill development, Sampad Chandra Swain, by Saturday, 16 countries had confirmed their participation, with the number likely to grow further.
“Up to today, we have received proposals from 16 countries. Their envoys, business delegations, and top industrialists will participate in the event, which will be held over two days—January 28 and 29. More than 7,500 delegates from both India and abroad are expected to attend the programme,” Swain said during a press conference in Bhubaneswar.
He also informed that some of the leading figures in Indian industry, including L.N. Mittal of ArcelorMittal Group, Kumar Mangalam Birla of Aditya Birla Group, Anil Agarwal of Vedanta Group, Sajjan Jindal of JSW, Naveen Jindal of Jindal Steel and Power, Karan Adani of Adani Group, and TV Narendran of Tata Group, are scheduled to attend the ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025,’ which will be held at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’ on January 28, 2025. The event is expected to welcome over 100 representatives from 16 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam, Italy, Belarus, and the United Kingdom. Altogether, an estimated 7,500 industrial delegates are expected to attend the grand event.
Odisha is rapidly emerging as a frontrunner in India’s industrial revolution. Forecasts from the ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ event suggest potential investments totaling Rs 5 lakh crore.
Minister Swain also informed that the state government has already approved 159 industrial proposals, with an investment of Rs 2.75 lakh crore, within its first seven months. These projects are expected to create 2.15 lakh jobs.
