219 Patients Receive Expert Care in Malkangiri’s Chief Minister Air Health Service

Malkangiri, August 31, 2023 :- The Chief Minister’s Air Health Service has concluded in Malkangiri district, successfully serving the community over the last four days. From the 28th to the 31st of August, super-specialist doctors from Bhubaneswar visited Malkangiri District Hqrs. Hospital to provide essential healthcare services to the people of Malkangiri.
Notable medical experts, including Nephrologist Dr. Amalendu Jena, Cardiologist Dr. Vijay Kumar Das, Dr. Sasmita Sethy, and Dr. Gorachand Murmu, played pivotal roles in conducting surgeries and providing medical treatments during this four-day healthcare initiative.
During this short span, the team achieved remarkable milestones by offering critical care to 219 patients, including four surgeries, 66 cardiology treatments,49 liver disease tests and endoscopies, 75 kidney-related treatments, and 25 ultrasound procedures were performed with utmost diligence.
The Malkangiri Medical Board and State Health Department officials have declared this initiative a resounding success. Nodal Officer Dr. Nihar Ranjan Tripathi expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, highlighting the improving healthcare services in the district.
Chief District Medical Officer, Dr.Prafulla Kumar Nanda, commended the dedicated efforts of the medical staff, particularly Dr.Prafulla Kumar Behera,Dr.Sapan Kumar Dinda,Dr.Anil Kumar Mishra and Hospital Manager Sushant Kumar Biswal and others, who played crucial roles in ensuring the program’s smooth execution.
The Chief Minister’s Air Health Service has received praise and best wishes from residents across the district. This initiative has been a game-changer, eliminating the need for patients to travel to Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad for specialized medical care, which was often expensive and inconvenient. Now, the people of Malkangiri can access these essential medical services free of cost.This initiative serves as a testament to the commitment of the government in enhancing healthcare accessibility in remote areas like Malkangiri.
