Good News: Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw sanctions Rs 197 Cr for redevelopment of Baleswar station

Balasore, Feb. 10: Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has Rs 197 crore for sanctioned redevelopment of Baleswar Railway Station.
The Baleswar railway station will get a complete facelift. Inspired by traditional Baleswar architecture, the station’s new design integrates elements like arches, ornate facades, and locally sourced materials that reflect the city’s cultural heritage.
The Station facade features wheels of the Konark Temple, while the Shikhar draws inspiration from Jaganath Puri.
The façade showcases Saura paintings of the Saura tribals, adding a unique cultural touch.

● Project cost: Rs. 197 crores
●Designed for next 50 years, will handle 50,000 passengers per day
● Station Building on both sides of the city connected with 18 m wide Roof Plaza
● Improvement to circulating area and provision of cover shed.
● Improvement to waiting hall and construction of AC lounge.

● 3 FOBs connecting all Platforms; all covered Platform

● 133 KW Solar Panel; 1000 KLD Water Recycling Plant

● Completion Period 30 month
