5 medical students killed after car’s head-on collision with bus in Kerala
KERALA, DEC 3 : Five first-year medical students were killed after their car collided head-on with a state transport bus in Kerala’s Alapuzzha district on Monday night.
The victims, identified as Devanandan and Muhammad Ibrahim from Lakshadweep, and Ayush Shaji, Sreedeep Valsan, and Muhammed Jabbar, were students at the TD Medical College in Alappuzha.
The accident took place at around 10 pm in Kalarcode area amid heavy rain.

Due to the impact of the collision, the car was left in a mangled state, and rescue teams had to cut through the metal to retrieve the occupants.
All the injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The bus was also impacted due to the crash, but the passengers sustained only minor injuries.
