IIT Bhubaneswar organizes plantation drive to mark International Day of Forests

Bhubaneswar, March 22: To mark the International Day of Forests, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar organised a mass plantation drive in its premises on 21 March 2026. The members of the Institute participated in the drive in large numbers with enthusiasm and vigour and planted about 200 avenue, fruit-bearing and ornamental saplings in the IIT Bhubaneswar campus.

Shri Bamadev Acharya, Registrar; Senior Faculty Members and Shri K. Rabin Kumar Dora, Superintending Engineer of IIT Bhubaneswar led the plantation drive and planted saplings. Mr K.V. Reddy, Horticulturist, coordinated the event.
