Tata Steel’s FAP Bamnipal Honoured with Kalinga Environment Excellence National Award

Bhubaneswar, June 23 : Tata Steel’s commitment to sustainable mining and environmentally responsible industrial practices has once again earned national recognition. The Company’s Ferro Alloys Plant (FAP), Bamnipal, operating under the Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division (FAMD), has been conferred with the prestigious Kalinga Environment Excellence National Award 2025.
Located in Odisha’s Keonjhar district, FAP Bamnipal was honoured in the Five Star Category for its outstanding performance in environmental stewardship during the performance year 2025. Adarsh Agrawal, Head, FAP Bamnipal, received the coveted award on behalf of the Company from the Chief Guest during the ceremony.
The award was presented at the 11th National Conclave on Environment, Energy and Climate Change – 2026, organised by the Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services (IQEMS) at a city hotel in Bhubaneswar. The conclave, held in association with leading industry bodies and environmental experts, brought together top-performing organisations from across sectors to recognise their contributions towards environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and climate action.
This recognition is a testament to Tata Steel’s unwavering focus on sustainable operations, resource efficiency, environmental stewardship, and energy conservation. It reflects the Company’s continued efforts to integrate responsible environmental practices into its business operations while contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
