Covid-19 Death Toll In Odisha Crosses 1700, 644 Fresh Infections In 24 Hours
Bhubaneswar,NOV 26: Covid-19 fatality count in Odisha surged to 1,704 with the death of 17 more patients in various hospitals in the last 24 hours while the infection tally mounted to 3,16,645 with a single-day spike of 644 cases, informed the State health department on Thursday.
As per State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department, of the fresh cases reported from 30 districts, 369 are from quarantine centres and the rest 275 were local transmission cases.
Cuttack registered the maximum 64 new coronavirus cases followed by Sundargarh (62), Angul (50), Khordha (49) and Keonjhar (42).
In terms of death, five persons each succumbed to the disease in Sundargarh. While four deaths were reported from Puri, three were from Bhubaneswar in Khordha and two in Angul. Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal districts reported one each death, informed the State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department.

A 25-year-old male of Angul district.
A 75-year-old male of Angul district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
A 34-year-old male of Bhubaneswar.
A 62-year-old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus with Trochanter Fracture.
A 80-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus with Cellulitis left foot.
A 65-year-old male of Dhenkanal district.
A 70-year-old male of Kalahandi district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
A 84-year-old male of Mayurbhanj district.
A 83-year-old male of Puri district.
A 75-year-old male of Puri district.
A 53-year-old male of Puri district.
A 67-year-old male of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
A 64-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
A 68-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from MODS.
A 56-year-old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
A 62-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
A 69-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
As of now, at least 53 patients infected with COVID-19 have died due to pre-existing ailments, informed the H&FW Department.
