Mumbai, Dec. 22 : It was an exciting Sunday for nearly 1,000 children from disadvantaged communities across Mumbai, during Reliance Foundation ESA Day at Jio Presents Hamleys Wonderland™. The children had a special treat experiencing fun rides and entertainment activities.
The children are associated with various non-governmental organisations supported by Reliance Foundation’s Education and Sports for All (ESA) programme. Reliance volunteers helped ensure the children had a ‘Wonder’ful day, including participating in games and quizzes as part of Reliance Foundation’s Kahani, Kala, Khushi campaign, where children learnt about Indian achievers.
The carnival, at Jio Presents Hamleys Wonderland™ in association with Ajmera Realty, in Jio World Garden includes attractions such as the Monster Ride, Hamleys Village, Haunted Circus, the Ferris Wheel, carousels and various engaging games.
This year’s new attraction includes special stalls of Vantara – the animal welfare initiative of Reliance. The ‘Vantarian Rescue Rangers,’ at the carnival, focuses on encouraging young adventurers to be wildlife heroes and heroines with activities on preserving wild animal habitats, freeing entangled birds, feeding rescued animals in human care, and rescuing animals from trafficking.
All the children were gifted a Vantara animal toy and educational material curated by Reliance Foundation.
Guided by Reliance’s ‘We Care’ philosophy, Reliance Foundation, through ESA carries out various activities in the education and sports arena. ESA seeks to make educational opportunities and sports experiences accessible to children from all backgrounds.
This special event in December, aims to enable children from disadvantaged communities, enjoy experiences that fuel their imagination and aspirations.
