Achyuta Samanta Awarded 62nd Honorary Doctorate

Bhubaneswar, Dec. 7: Well-known social worker, educationist, and founder of KIIT & KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, was conferred with his 62nd honorary doctorate by Poornima University, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The honour was presented during the university’s 11th convocation ceremony on 7th December, 2024.
The recognition underscores Dr. Samanta’s remarkable contributions to society through education and social service. While conferring the degree, the university commended his exceptional efforts in transforming lives through education and community development.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Samanta said, “For the last 33 years, I have been working relentlessly for the betterment of society. This honorary doctorate will remain a cherished milestone for me.” Dr. Samanta has now been awarded 62 honorary doctorates by prestigious universities and institutions worldwide in acknowledgment of his outstanding contributions to education and social service.
The ceremony was graced by Lt. Gen. N.S. Raja Subramani, Vice Chief of Army Staff, Indian Army, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Suresh Chandra Padhy, President (Vice Chancellor) of Poornima University, along with other distinguished dignitaries, was also present on the occasion.
