Malkangiri, Dec. 20: Good news for people living in far-flung areas of Odisha. CM Naveen Patnaik on Monday launched air-ambulance service today.

Named Mukhyamantri Vayu Swathyaseva Yojana, the service aims at lifting critical patients from Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Nuapada to specialized hospitals.

A team of doctors has been appointed to be deployed in the air-ambulance.

In the first phase, a team of doctors from Malkangiri flew from Malkangiri.

People having BSKY smart card will avail the ambulance facilities.
