AM/NS India equips rural students with study material

Barbil (Odisha), Dec. 16: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), a leading steelmaker, under its CSR initiative- ‘Padhega Bharat’ has taken a major step in enabling education of rural students by providing study materials to 10thclass students of Government Girls High School and St. Mary’s Odia High School in Barbil, and Kalmang High School, Sagasahi.About 198 students have been provided with test paperswhich is a critical study material for the preparation of the 10th board examination.
Shri Laxman Mohanta, Former Counsellor of Ward 2 of Barbildistributed the study materials to the students in presence of Smt. Suchitra Mohanta, Headmistress of Government Girls High School, Barbil, Shri Prasanta Kumar Parida, Cluster Resource Community Coordinator (CRCC), Block Education Office, Koira, Shri Satyakama Das, Mines Manager, Ghoraburhani Sagasahi Iron Ore Mines, AM/NS India,Shri Pramod Acharya, Welfare Officer, Thakurani Mines, AM/NS India, Shri Vincent Nayak, Headmaster of Kalmang High School, and Shri Lambodar Mohanta, Principal of St. Mary’s Odia High School, Barbil.
Applauding the initiative Shri Laxman Mohanta said that such types of quality study materialswill be ofgreat help for the studentsin the rural areato prepare for the exams.This initiative of AM/NS India is a testament to the company’s commitment to creating a positive impact on the lives of students in its operating locations.
