BSF Jawan injured in accidental gunfire incident

An unfortunate incident took place at the 142 Battallin BSF camp in MV-79 where one jawan Bhaskar Narayan Dev was injured by a gunshot . The cause to the incident was expected to be a misfire by another jawan.

The injured jawan was immediately taken to Malkangiri DHH Medical for treatment and Dr.Sapan Kumar Dinda removed bullet after surgery and is currently in good condition.

In light of the incident, authorities have ordered an immediate inquiry to be conducted to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the misfire and to identify any shortcomings in the handling of firearms that may have contributed to the incident. The results of the inquiry will be used to implement measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
