Kashipur, July 14: One Sabita Nayak died while five are affected in gastroenteritis of Dudukabahal village of Kasipir block .One Gobordhan Nayak 45 of Jalakura village under Mandibisi Panchayat, Bhakta Prahlad Rai 27, of Dudukabahal, Susila Majhi 30, of G.Rautghati, Lachama Jhodia 35, Kakiri padar, Baida Majhi 40, of Bandhasahi, Kasipur, Tasi Majhi 30, son, of Gobari ghati, under Sankarada Panchayat , Kanhai Majhi 60, Mother, Gobordhan Majhi has been referred to District head quarter hospital, when his condition deteriorated, and Dr.VLN  Raju ADMO said after treatment his condition is stable.

Since last four days the residents of several villages found affected in diarrhoea . Similarly 4 of Goborighati village under Sankarada Panchayat are also affected, followed by 2 of Kakiripadar village in Sankarada Panchayat found affected and one resident of Bandha sahi and 4 of Kasipur are undergoing treatment in Kasipur CHC and Tikiri health centre.

Some were admitted in Utkal hospital, Tikiri said Dr.Netranand Nayak of Kasipur community health centre. In reply to a query Dr.VLN Raju ADMO said a medical team headed by Dr.Mamata Choudhury and including Gyana ranjan Mohanty an epidemiologisthas already been deputed to the affected block, Kasipur.

Four doctors of Kasipur and one Ayush doctor of Tikiri health centre and the paramedics, and in addition to that Anms, Asha and health workers  are rendering the required health services to the admittants in the health care and wellness units stool and water samples have been collected, water bodies,water tanks are being disinfected.The areas were kept under strict medical vigil, all essential precautionary and sanitary measures are reinforced. Awareness programmes will be held to sensitize people said Dr.Raju.

Dr.Mamata Choudhury said they are undergoing treatment, and under observation.
