JAJPUR, AUG 12 : Former Minister Prafulla Chandra Gharai expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Moahn Charan Majhi and Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries HD Kumaraswamy for revoking the Union Steel Ministry’s decision to relocate Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI) from Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur to Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) campus.

Gharai has also written to the Union Minister and the Chief Minister requesting them to allot necessary funds for strengthening the infrastructure of the BPNSI and construction a city office at Kali Balianata.

Recently, during his visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had requested Union Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy to roll back the Ministry’s decision to relocate Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute from Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district to Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) campus in Rourkela.
