Jajpur, Aug 17 : A 65 -year-old man allegedly axed to death by his daughter-in-law in village Ranapal under Panikoili police station in Jajpur district on Monday evening.

“ Utkal Hati, the husband of the accused, filed an FIR in the police station and alleged that the accused Rupa Hati (25) in a sudden rage attacked his father Paban Hati with an axe and he died on the spot as he suffered serious head injuries .

The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained immediately. We also still do not know the modus Operandi and the purpose of the murder. Investigation is going on. The exact cause of the hostility between them is being investigated”, said IIC of Panikoili police station , Sushil Nayak.
