Bargarh, Dec 1: Cancer or cancer is as serious as it is, why is this disease more serious than that? Hearing the name of cancer or cancer, the mental state of the patient and family fluctuates and even affects relatives and friends. Cancer patients and their families go through financial hardships and mental anguish, but even more so is the social suffering. After a few days of hope and sympathy, the world slowly forgets the victim’s family It is as if the cancer patients and their families have been cut off from the mainstream of society Cancer patients and their families who need psychosocial support experience a loneliness that no one but the cancer patient and their family can experience. However, some of the cancer survivors who have won the battle with cancer have experienced the difficult lifestyle of cancer patients, and the cancer survivors themselves have started an organization called Fighter’s Grief in Burg to help people suffering from cancer.

As Bargarh district is a cancer-prone area, cancer survivors are living a very difficult life in this area. Still never gave up. That is why they are called fighters. But sometimes they are also not in good health due to busy work life with family responsibilities, due to which they feel mentally weak as well. They were looking for an alternative way of life to deal with such problems. That’s why Bargarh’s Cancer Survivors Fighters Group organized a six-day motivational workshop “Designing an Alternative Life” from November 25 to November 30. Art of Living attempted to inspire these cancer survivors through a series of planned workshops. Which has been successfully completed on the last day. On this occasion, the famous Indian writer and great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi Mr. Tushar Arun Gandhi came to meet the members of the Cancer Survivors Fighters Group. Many cancer survivors from different parts of the district participated in this motivational workshop. Nruparaj Sahu of Palasada village in Padmapur sub-division was suffering from mouth cancer and after a year of the first operation, he underwent another operation due to recurrence of the cancer. After undergoing 2 operations in one year, the victim and the family were completely psychologically devastated. After participating in the workshop of Fighters Group and Art of Living, he says, “This workshop has motivated me to live mentally.” Suryakanti Sikandar, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, said after the workshop, “I am a working woman, since 2024 I have been suffering from blood cancer and my strength and ability to go out and work has decreased. It was difficult to leave the house, but after attending this workshop, various inspirations are responsible and I feel a tremendous flow of energy in my body after doing sudarshankriya regularly. Now I have acquired the ability to do housework as well as outside work According to Himhu Panda, senior trainer at Art of Living, we will consider ourselves very lucky if some cancer sufferers feel mentally healthy in our motivational work. Senior trainer Mrs. Madhu Lath said that the sufferers of various complex diseases are mentally broken, to bring them out of such mentality, there is a syllabus of Art of Living prepared by Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar, we follow it and give training in very simple ways. Since then, Sudanese action has been very successful. On this occasion, Tusar Gandhi, a famous writer of India and great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, met the cancer survivors and said that cancer is a disease that people are very afraid of, and if this fear is removed, the disease will also go away. However, the freedom, strength and energy given to cancer patients by cancer survivors in the city is admirable. I also thank Art of Living for organizing such a beautiful event Pratap Das and Deepali Dutta, two cancer survivors who participated in this six-day motivational workshop, donated Rs 50,000 each to the Fighters’ Relief Fund despite being victims themselves. The workshop was conducted and coordinated by Fighters Group members Aswini Kumar Darjee, Pratap Das, Vajjit Barik, Parushottam Bishi, Rajgopal Das, Art of Living Senior Trainer Ms. Madhu Lath, Senior Trainer Himanshu Panda Panda Cancer Survivors from Negative Monthly to Positive Mindset Trained to perform various actions in simple ways to bring about change.
