Puri Govardhan Peetha Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati asserts that India embodies the essence of the world’s spirit. The spirituality of India is impervious to any external force. In the realms of divinity, spirituality, and enlightenment, the births of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna affirm that India is the sacred locus of the universe.

Delivering a discourse at Bhagwan Bimalamba Shakti Sansthanam on Tanda Road in Hoshiarpur, the Guruji proclaimed that the youth of the nation are its future leaders. He emphasised that they must advocate for the nation’s welfare; otherwise, the consequences would be catastrophic.

He reminded the audience that the objective of life is not to merely amass wealth, endure existence, or pursue material desires. Instead, spiritual development should take precedence over material progress. He expressed concern over the prevailing situation, which he characterised as a global conspiracy against Indian culture, calling it alarming. Now, he said, is the time for the citizens of the nation to turn their attention to this issue. He underscored that establishing universal brotherhood and restoring India’s legacy are essential for sustaining the nation. The current imperative, he stressed, is steadfastness, endurance, and tenacity.

Guruji stated that we must remain open to the exchange of ideas. Just as fasting in our society requires abstention from food and drink, the restoration of Tapasya’s dharma demands the renunciation of personal comforts. One can lead a truly progressive life only through Dana (charity) and Tapasya (penance). Therefore, understanding the importance of Tapa and Dana is vital.

In the socio-political context, he noted that appropriate education, values, and cultural principles are essential for the protection and preservation of society. The Vedas affirm that active politics can be advantageous if the nation’s leaders are responsible and progressive. While progress is inevitable, it must be pursued with careful consideration of environmental and ecological factors.

He further stated that the foundation of personal development lies in a healthy mind within a healthy body, resilience, and a spirit of spirituality and altruism.

In his address at the Tanda Road Ashram, Swami Nischalananda Saraswati urged individuals to focus on specific domains conducive to meditation. Dharma Dhyana is considered by Hindus as an essential element of spiritual advancement. He reminded that humans are the agents of national growth, which should not be driven solely by indulgence. The essence of human existence lies in the restoration of equilibrium and serenity through spiritual growth.

He observed that while human life, like all beginnings, will eventually end, attaining Moksha requires sincere spiritual development. Swamiji affirmed that one must bow down to the highest authority of the Almighty. Humanity, he warned, cannot progress as long as instability in thought and conduct persists. He asserted that we should exist not merely to seek sustenance from material belongings, but to enrich life itself.

“We all belong to the omnipresent God,” he declared. Devotional singing and personal enlightenment, he said, require complete dedication to God. Just as nourishment sustains the body, spiritual growth nourishes the soul, facilitating a profound connection with the Divine. Guruji emphasised that God and the soul are unified — and one who realises Brahma is freed from the cycle of birth and death.

We revere Guruji Swami Nischalananda Saraswati’s divine essence and his unwavering commitment to the preservation and restoration of Sanatan Dharma.
