Paradip, June 10: Inaugural Friendly Invitation Cup Badminton tournament organised by Paradip Badminton Association was successfully conducted on 9th June 2024 at Paradip Port Authority Officers’ Club.The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of players showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship.

With 34 players divided into 4 groups, the tournament featured intense matches in various categories, including Open Singles, Veteran Singles, Open Doubles, Veteran Doubles etc. From Bokaro steel plant 3 teams, Rourkela steel plant 2 teams, 1 team from SAIL office and 11 teams from Paradip Badminton Association joined the proceedings.

The event was graced by the presence of SAIL ED Logistics Shri Subash Kumar Das & Shri A.K. Bose, Advisor, Traffic, PPA, who presented the awards and expressed his admiration for the players’ commitment & sportsmanship. In the final match played by Bokaro vs Paradip, Bokaro Steel Plant emerged as the overall winner.
