Malkangiri 16 May 2023 : The Malkangiri branch of Utkal Sammilani celebrated the birth anniversary of renowned poet Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja at the Retired Government Employees Union office. The event was presided over by the President of Utkala Sammilani, Dr. Ranjan Kumar Swain.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Sri Balraj Padhy, President of the Retired Government Employees Union, Secretary Ashok Kumar Samal,Sri.Golak Chandra Dalai and Sri.Dujyadhana Patra.

Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja, an eminent Odia poet, is widely regarded for his contributions to Odia literature. The event aimed to honor his legacy and commemorate his significant influence on the literary landscape of Odisha.

Participants at the gathering discussed Bhanja’s literary achievements and highlighted his enduring impact on the cultural heritage of the region. Various cultural programs and recitals of Bhanja’s poems were also held as part of the celebration.
