Malkangiri,9th,July 2024:-In a significant outreach initiative,Shri.Nityananda Gond, Minister of Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare, and School and Mass Education, visited Malkangiri district to address public grievances at the local Culture building. Emphasizing Chief Minister’s commitment to resolving public issues, Shri.Gond noted the significance of this complaint hearing. The session addressed 110 complaints covering health services, education, Anganwadi, and rural development.

The Disabled Empowerment Department distributed benefits to 18 individuals from Balimela, Malkangiri Municipal, and blocks, including hearing aids, support for the disabled, elderly, widows, and abandoned persons. Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi also reviewed district initiatives with officials, highlighting the importance of the new educational policy and mother-tongue instruction for comprehensive development.

The MP emphasized the need for social security services, electricity connectivity, clean sanitation facilities, potable water, and equipped classrooms in remote areas. Hostels were recommended for students from distant places, and a super specialty hospital and nursing college are planned to enhance district health services. The Chief District Medical Officers (CDMOs) were directed to ensure accommodation for doctors in rural areas, and efforts are underway to improve road infrastructure in remote villages.

Skill training for the Banda tribes, income generation for registered workers, and advancements in forest, fisheries, and animal resources departments were also discussed. The Animal Husbandry Department aims to raise Gir breed cattle for self-reliance in milk production. The National Highways Department will install speed boards from Motu to Govindapally and promote helmet use.

Steps to boost millet production, considering its nutritional value, are prioritized. All departments were instructed to prepare vision documents and expedite land acquisition for the railway project. District Magistrate Sachin Pawar assured dedicated efforts from all departments to achieve the outlined goals.

The event saw the participation of Malkangiri MLA Narsingh Madkami, Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khila, ADM Somnath Pradhan, ADM Vedbar Pradhan and CDO cum EO Zilla Porishad Naresh Chandra Sabar .This comprehensive approach underscores the government’s dedication to addressing local issues and fostering development through coordinated efforts across various sectors.
