Dulang: NTPC holds meeting with Stakeholders Interaction Forum

Dulanga (Sundergarh), Oct 30: Rehabilitation is a long-term process that necessitates a concerted effort over time. Resettlement and rehabilitation (R&R) issues of the project affected persons are addressed by NTPC by formulating a comprehensive R&R plan in consultation with stakeholders including PAPs and the respective district administration.
Recently in the same spirit, NTPC Dulanga organized Stakeholders Interaction Forum in collaboration with the Sundargarh district administration, and representatives from PAPs, at the Community Centre of Rehabilitation and Resettlement Colony, Kalamegha, to better understand and address the expectations of its various stakeholders. Sub-Collector cum Administrator (R&R) Sadar, Sundargarh, presided over the meeting. During the discussion, sensitization was created regarding the de-addiction and management of Covid 19.
The lottery approach was used to distribute 20 shops to the residents of four villages. During the conversation, the importance of energy metering was also highlighted. A resolution to form a village committee by the 30th of October was also adopted in order to establish shared values toward the preservation and welfare of the R&R colony.
The meeting was a significant step forward by the NTPC Dulanga in terms of establishing long-term ties and engagements with the villagers.
