BHUBANESWAR, OCT. 16: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday turned 76. In view of the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the state, the CM chose not to celebrate the day.

This was the fourth consecutive year when CM Naveen gave his birthday celebrations a miss.

While in 2020, he did not celebrate his birthday due Covid-19 pandemic, in 2019 and 2018, he skipped the day as the state was battered by two cyclonic storms.

Naveen who joined active politics in 1997 has never lost any elections since then. Currently, he is running his fifth term as chief minister of Odisha.
