Bhubaneswar, Nov. 23: Odisha Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal’s wife Sushila Devi passed away late on Sunday night.

She was undergoing treatment in a private hospital here for infection after recovering from Covid-19.

Chief minister Naveen Patnak condoled the death of Sushila Devi.

Offering his condolences to the bereaved family of the Governor, the CM said Sushila Devi was a very pious and generous lady. Her death was great loss to the state.

Earlier, six members of the Governor’s family were detected with coronavirus on November 2.

Sources said the mortal remains of Sushila Devi will be taken to Puri for last rites.

Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Odisha food supplies and consumer welfare minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, senior BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra also offered their condolences to the bereaved family of the Governor.
