Founded in December 2016, Acviss Technologies was born with the vision of uprooting the problem of counterfeiting and duplicity. It comes with the intention of solving the increasing issue of counterfeiting or product tampering due to which brands across different industries and markets suffer. Counterfeiting is a major problem faced by companies and brands worldwide. Revenue and profit losses caused by counterfeiting ranks highest among all reasons.

What problem does Acviss Solve?

The counterfeiting industry is worth $3 trillion where fake goods are sold globally. The entire amount is being dealt within the wrong hands. Acviss fits in at multiple levels across the supply chain and resolves the issue in two main aspects.

1. They provide a digital unique identity to each and every product that is manufactured. This identity cannot be replicated and can be easily verified. The unique identity is available either directly on the packaging of the product or in the form of a tamper evident label which is placed during the time of packaging or manufacturing.

2. The second aspect includes identifying if any form of fake products or fraud is taking place against the brand, across various channels. The brand information received such as the name of the brand, image, logo is leveraged to understand if somebody is trying to impersonate the products.

Acviss has been able to provide solutions to the brands in both online and offline sectors. Brands incorporate the design labels as a part of their packaging for their products and for the online services it leverages the different assets of the brand like brand name, brand entity, domain, etc. to search the product. Once the product carries the label, an end consumer or anybody in the supply chain can then verify the product and understand if it is genuine at any given point of time. As a part of other services, Acviss has its scanners running online across channels and helps one understand the footprint or any kind of impersonation happening online.

As a part of their design, Acviss uses secure, multi-level patent technology that is far from human filtration. The non-clonable QR codes for increased protection helps the end consumer to verify their products and comes with a multi- layered encryption.

Future Plans & Expansion 

Acviss has been successful in catering brands across sectors like Epson, Kitply, K-ONN and so on. They plan to expand globally especially Europe & North America and reach every nook and corner whilst they focus more on online anti-counterfeiting. Ever since its inception Acviss has grown 90% YOY and have managed to protect over 1.25 billion products till date. Acviss aims at being agnostic to technology and method. Their model is to weed out counterfeiting end to end and across different sectors. Acviss also plans to focus more on R&D and lay out stronger ways to provide digital identity to products.

About the Founder

Founder & CEO at Acviss technologies, Vikas Jain is an Electronics and Communication Graduate from RVCE. He then pursued his Masters’ degree in Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital and Technology from the University of Maryland. Vikas Jain has worked at EFI, New Market Venture Partners and Ericsson in the States. He also runs a non-profit organization called Camp CPR to educate the general public on handling medical emergencies. Vikas has also been the Program Leader of Bangalore chapter of Startup Leadership Program in 2016-17.
