JAJPUR, JULY 15 : Sukinda MLA Preeti Ranjan Ghadei on Thursday inaugurated the Rengali left canal at Danagadi in Jajpur district.

The water from the canal for the first time flowed into the Bandhagaon, Pimpudia Kuhika and other villages in the Sukinda area in the distrcit.

More than 25 villages of six panchayats 10, 221 acre of land benefited.

A dream project of the MLA, the canal would ensure farmers are no longer dependant on pump sets or incur expenses for electricity and diesel

The Sukinda area and Danagadi areas would benefit from the project. Agriculture activities can be carried out in both the Sukinda and Danagadi areas in the coming summer season as enough water would be available for irrigation facilities.
