Tata Steel Foundation restores Narendrapur High School

Chhatrapur, Dec.9: Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) inaugurated the restored school building of Narendrapur High School, a key institution in Chhatrapur region of Ganjam district. The school with over 330 students from standard one to ten, was damaged by a recent cyclone and was rendered unsafe. The restoration project was undertaken by TSF and completed to ensure a secure and conducive learning environment for the students and staff.
The school now stands revitalized with repairs to damaged doors, windows, and flooring, fresh coats of weather-resistant paint, and upgraded electrical systems to ensure safety.
The inaugural event was attended by Manikant Naik, Managing Director, Tata Steel Special Economic Zone (TSSEZ) and Ambika Prasad Nanda, Head, CSR (Odisha), who interacted with students and staff and put forth their thoughts on the importance of making education accessible and equitable in rural communities.
Shri Naik said that this restoration initiative is about more than just rebuilding infrastructure—it is about restoring hope and confidence in children and their families, ensuring that education continues to empower their community through these simple yet meaningful measures.
