Tell everyone I killed her: Bengaluru techie told father after murdering wife
BENGALURU, MAR 28 : In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Rajendra, the father of Rakesh who is accused of murdering his wife and stuffing the body in a suitcase in Bengaluru, revealed what his son told him about the murder.
According to Rajendra, the accused Rakesh called him on the phone to tell him that he had “done something like this”. Rajendra also said that his son had reportedly called his mother-in-law a few days prior to the murder to complain about Gauri harassing him.
“I got a call from my son saying I had done this as she (Gauri) was fighting a lot with him,” Rajendra said.
“He told me to tell everyone, tell her mother that he had done this. He had sent all the details about the crime in Bengaluru itself,” Rajendra added.
Rakesh, who was arrested in Pune, reportedly killed his wife, stuffed her body in a suitcase and left it at their house in Bengaluru before fleeing the city. According to the police, the couple frequently argued over Gauri being unemployed.
The murder happened when Gauri, during a heated argument on March 26, wounded Rakesh with a knife, after he slapped her. An enraged Rakesh used the same knife to stab her multiple times.
He then put her body in a suitcase and hid it in the bathroom.
