Tragic Collision in Malkangiri District Claims One Life and Injures Three Others

Malkangiri ,10 July 2023 : One person has died and three others sustained serious injuries in a bike collision near Champakhari Ghati in Malkangiri District. The incident occurred when Biswanath Madkami, a DVF jawan of Reserve Police, Malkangiri, was returning home to Padarapalli after completing his duties. At the same time, Sunadhar Kope, Balaram Pujari, and Bala Putia from Kotameta village were traveling from Kotameta towards Malkangari. The collision took place near Champakhari village, resulting in severe injuries to all four individuals involved.

Upon receiving the news, local residents promptly rushed the injured victims to DHH Malkangiri for immediate medical attention. Tragically, DVF jawan Bishwanath Madkami was pronounced dead by the attending doctor. Given the critical condition of two others, they have been transferred to Koraput for further treatment.

Authorities, including the police, swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident. Malkangiri SP Nitesh Wadwani also reached the hospital to personally oversee the investigation.
