JAJPUR, 25: The death anniversary of former Rajya Sabha member and Dharmasala MLA Kalpataru Das was observed at Dharmsala in Jajpur district on Thursday.

Eminent speakers and the locals of the constituency recalled the various welfare and development projects carried out by Das in the constituency and paid glowing tributes to him.

Das’s son and Former Dharamsala MLA Pranab Kumar Balabantray and others garlanded the statue of the former MLA. Plantation drives were held on the occasion. Pranab Said ghadei “bjd government has always stood by the poor and weaker sections of the society. He said Said Dharamasala saw massive development works during his period as the MLA .

I will continue to do whatever possible on my part for the people of this area till by last breath,” Said Pranab.Among honourable guests, Fomer Jajpur MP Rita Tarei,BJD Leder Priyanath Mohapatra, Block chairman Pravat Kumar Balabantaray and Others were present.
