Malkangiri, May 8, 2023: In a remarkable initiative to improve healthcare services in the region, an ultra-modern Mobile Health Van was flagged off today on the occasion of World Red Cross Day. The event took place at the Collectorate in Malkangiri, where the van was ceremoniously inaugurated by ADM Maheswar Chandra Nayak and ADM Trinath Majhi. The mobile health van was provided through a collaboration between the Indian Red Cross Society Odisha and the Canadian Red Cross Society.

The symbolic event was attended by several dignitaries, health officials, and representatives from the Red Cross Society. The van, equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities, will play a crucial role in bringing quality healthcare services to the doorstep of people in remote and inaccessible areas of Malkangiri.

CDMO Malkangiri, Sri Prafulla Kumar Nanda, received the mobile health van on behalf of the district administration. Expressing gratitude to the Red Cross societies, he emphasized the significant impact the van would have on the lives of the local population, particularly those who face challenges in accessing healthcare due to geographical barriers.

The ultra-modern Mobile Health Van is equipped with advanced medical equipment, including diagnostic tools, telemedicine facilities, and a pharmacy. It has dedicated compartments for patient examination, treatment, and counseling.
