Bhubaneswar, Feb. 28: Veteran Odia cine star Uttam Mohanty passes away in Medanta Hospital, New Delhi, on Thursday evening.

He was 66.

Uttam’s son Babu Shan informed about the death of his.

The veteran actor who has acted in more than 130 Odia films, several Bengali movies and a Hindi movie, was ill for some time. He is survived by his wife Aparajita Priyadarshini and son.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP national vice president Baijyant Panda condoled the death of Uttam.

The CM announced that Uttam’s last rites will be performed with full state honours.
