Voters of Nagada voted in their villages first time

 Jajpur ,Feb 22 : The tribal voters of Nagada  under Chingudipal Gram Panchayat  of  Zilla Parishad zone no- 37 under Sukinda block in Jajpur district   voted  for the first time at their villages in the three tier rural polls on Tuesday  .

In the past tribal voters used to walk through  14 kilometer long  hilly  roads to vote  But due to construction of good  roads , the authorities first time opened polling booths in Nagada as a result voters cast their votes in their villages.

We are happy  to  cast our votes in our village at Nagada , said Pimpi Pradhan of Nagada.

Nagada hillock, the home of the primitive Juang tribe  was infamous  six years back after the death of  around 22 children   after suffering from malnutrition within three months.   After  the death of Juang children   , the authorities  woke up from deep slumber and  did many  developmental  works in Nagada and its nearby areas  .

Two   tribal women Anjali Deuri  and  Subhdra Tiu are contesting against each other  for the post of Sarpanch of Chingudipal Gram Panchayat. Laxmi Pradhan was  elected unopposed as the ward member no-1  of Nagada village.

In zone no-37 of Zilla Parishad seat , Chandamuni Nagari from Congress Party , Jemela Chakhi from BJD ,   Sumita Putri  from BJP and  Sasmita Putri from JMM are contesting.
