Yuva Sangam Phase-5:Exposure Trip of Maharashtra Delegates to Odisha comes to an end

Bhubaneswar, Dec.5 : The week-long exposure trip of 50 students from diverse higher education institutions from Maharashtra to Odisha, as part of the Central government’s ambitious cultural and educational endeavour the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam’ programme has come to an end on 5th December 2024. The delegates were hosted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar.
To bid them adieu, a valedictory programme was organized on 4th December 2024. Addressing the delegates, Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar said appreciated the initiative of Yuva Sangam, which provided a platform for the youth of Maharashtra to gain knowledge about the culture, tradition and people of Odisha.
Prof. Rajesh Roshan Dash, Dean (Student Affairs), delivered the welcome address. Dr. Remya Neelancherry, Coordinator, Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat proposed a vote of thanks. The students shared their experiences about the trip. They were handed over with the certificates of participation by Prof. Karmalkar.
During their stay, they visited the Governor House (Raj Bhavan) of Odisha and interacted with the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha; different industrial and corporate houses in and around Bhubaneswar; places of cultural and historical importance like Puri, Konark, Pipili, Ravenshaw University, Maritime Museum, Lingaraj Temple, Khandagiri & Udayagiri, Dhauligiri, State Tribal Museum, Chandrabhaga Beach; tourist places like Chilika Lake; research and skill development institutes like ICMR-RMRC, CTTC-Bhubaneswar and Skill Development Institute (SDI) and Infosys, Bhubaneswar. They also visited the adopted villages of IIT Bhubaneswar and interacted with the start-ups incubated under the Institute. These visits were arranged under five broad areas – Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development) and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect), Prodyogiki (Technology).
