Rayagada Families Honoured for Life-Saving Organ Donations Amid Personal Loss

Rayagada, Aug.15 : In a gesture honouring the gift of life, the Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer (CDM&PHO), Rayagada, handed over compensation cheques of Rs 5 lakh each to two families from the district who consented to donate the organs of their deceased loved ones.
The recipients included Krushna Chandra Nayak, father of late Chandrasekhar Nayak of Dukum, Bissamcuttack, and Lalita Sabar, wife of late Pilant Sabar of Kadasi, Puttasingi. Both families made the difficult yet noble decision to allow organ donation at a time of personal loss, giving new hope to patients in need.
Such courage and compassion shown by the families will go a long way in setting an example for others to donate vital organs to save valuable lives. “Such decisions are a reminder that even in grief, humanity can shine its brightest.
