Burla/Sambalpur, Feb.26: TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), the power distribution company in western Odisha, has celebrated Ethics Week 2026 today at its corporate office situated at Burla.

The Ethics Week is celebrated annually by all Tata Group companies to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Tata Group founder, late Shri Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata. He was born on 3rd March 1839. Therefore, the week preceding 3rd March every year is observed as “The Ethics Week”.

On this occasion Mr. P.P. Tendulkar, Chief Ethics Counsellor; Mr. Parveen Verma, CEO, TPWODL; Mr. Cosmos Lakra, Chief HR; and Mr. Prashant Kumar Singh, Chief Operation; Mr. V.T. Narayana, Chief Distribution Support Services; Mr. Subodh Mahalik, Chief Legal; along with other functional heads, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and garlanding the picture of the great entrepreneur and business leader. All employees present also paid floral tribute to the leader.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Parveen Verma, CEO, TPWODL, emphasized the importance of Ethics Week, stating, “Ethics is not a policy document, it is the foundation of who we are. As we celebrate Ethics Week, I urge every employee to remember that our reputation is built on the choices we make when no one is watching. Integrity, transparency, and accountability must guide every decision – big or small. We do not compromise on values for short-term gains. Sustainable success is only possible when trust remains intact – trust of our customers, partners, regulators, and each other. Let this week be a reminder that ethical excellence is not optional, it is our identity.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. P.P. Tendulkar, Chief Ethics Counsellor stated that, “We face targets, negotiations, and competitive pressures daily. However, no revenue is worth risking our integrity. Ethical selling, fair dealings with business associates, internal & external customers. Let us commit to building partnerships based on trust rather than transactions. Long-term relationships are created when customers believe in our honesty. This Ethics Week, let us reaffirm that growth and governance must always go hand in hand.”

Similarly, the Ethics Week 2026 Celebration is also organized in all TPWODL Circle Headquarters, like Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Rourkela, and Bhawanipatna. Where, along with the superintending engineer concerned, all employees offered floral tribute to the founder.
