AM/NS India extends Emergency Flood Relief in Jajpur and Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar/Odisha, Aug 29 : ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has stepped forward with immediate, on-the-ground emergency assistance in the wake of the recent floods which have severely affected the lives of thousands of people and in urgent relief odf essential relief.
AM/NS India provided essential food supplies in Jajpur District, distributing 30 MT of Wheat Flour (30,000 packets of 1 kg each) and 30 MT of Semolina (30,000 packets of 1 kg each) to families affected by the floods, responding to a request from Shri Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo, MLA, Dharmasala. The relief drive was conducted in the presence of Smt. Debjani Pradhan, Representative of the MLA, Dharmasala.Simultaneously, in Hatidihi Block of Keonjhar district, the company handed over 500 dry-food packets to community leaders for immediate distribution, providing vital nourishment to families battling severe flood conditions.
Appreciating the prompt and coordinated intervention of AM/NS India, Shri Ananta Nayak, MP, Keonjhar, said “Such a compassionate initiative demonstrates AM/NS India’s strong commitment to the welfare of the local community and its responsibilities as a valued corporate partner in Keonjhar District. The support has helped bring relief, comfort and hope to the flood‑affected families”.
The success of this rapid-response initiative was driven by seamless cross-functional collaboration across AM/NS India departments under the leadership of Shri Amit Dubey, Head – Mines, Dr. Vikas Yadvendu, Head-CSR, Shri Indrakant Saha, Mines Manager, Thakurani Mines, Shri Rohit Pandey, Officer, Procurement and Shri Pramod Acharya, Welfare Officer. Employee volunteers worked tirelessly to package and mobilize all relief materials in record time.By bringing together diverse teams and working hand-in-hand with community leaders, AM/NS India reaffirmed its commitment to stand by local communities in times of crisis.
