Kalimela Excise Team Nabs Accused with 23.5 Kg Ganja in Bike During Patrolling

Malkangiri Odisha :In a recent development, the Kalimemela Excise Officer in Charge Prabhakar Sethy along with staff seized 23.5 kg of ganja during a routine patrolling exercise. The ganja was found in a bike, and arrested Narayan Golory from the spot in connection with the incident.
According to reports, the Excise team was patrolling in the Kalimels area from MPV-21 to Bhejangiwada Chock ,when they came across the suspicious bike. Upon inspection, they found 23.5 kg of ganja in the vehicle, leading to the arrest of Narayan Golory of Karkatpalli.
The Excise department has confirmed the incident and stated that further investigations are underway. The accused will be produced before the court, and the authorities will take appropriate action in the matter.
The seizure of the ganja is a significant development in the fight against the drug menace in the region. The Excise department has been conducting regular checks and patrolling exercises to curb the use and sale of narcotics in the area under the direction of Excise Suptd.Sri.Bimbadhar Ponda.
