Malkangiri inaugurates a new cafe named “Mission Shakti Cafe” in DRDA

Malkangiri, Odisha – On March 20, 2023, the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) campus in Malkangiri inaugurated a new cafe named “Mission Shakti Cafe.” by Sri Ratnakar Sahu,Chief Development Officer.The cafe aims to empower and support women in the community by providing them with a platform to showcase their culinary skills.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by various officials and representatives including Smt Samari Tangul ,ZP Chairman ,APD Manas Mishra and PO (OTELP) Pobitra Mohan Bara . The cafe was opened by a group of women who had undergone training in cooking and entrepreneurship under the Mission Shakti program.
The Mission Shakti Cafe will serve a variety of dishes, including local delicacies, and will provide employment opportunities to women in the area. The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to promote women’s empowerment and encourage their participation in entrepreneurship and the workforce.
The cafe is expected to not only promote the local cuisine but also contribute to the economic growth of the region. The initiative has been welcomed by the community, and it is hoped that it will inspire other women in the area to come forward and participate in such initiatives.
