Dhamra, Sept.23 : Dhamra-Bansada Anchalika Bikash Manch staged a protest at Bansada-Baliharpur by demanding fulfillment of 5-point demand on 22nd Sept. Hundreds of villagers protest by blocking the Dhamra-Bhadrak railway near Bansada-Mantei Bridge.

In the demand they mentioned construction of underpass at Bansada which connects Karanjamal through Baliharpur from Bansada with enduring employment, proper lighting facility along road crossing, maintenance of Hume pipes which are dumped during rainy season.

Chandbali Tehsildar Sushant Sutar and senior police officers came to meet the protesters. DGM Corporate affairs Subhashis Mishra from Dhamra Port, Project chief (civil) Mr. R K Singh came to the spot and discussed with the protesters. After a tripartite meeting with the district administration, Dhamra Port & Bikash Manch representatives the protest was called off.
