Cyber Safety Awareness Campaign Drive Launched at District Police Office, Malkangir

Malkangiri,02 October 2023:– Malkangiri police took a significant step towards enhancing cyber safety awareness as they launched a dedicated cyber security awareness campaign drive. Led by the esteemed Superintendent of Police, Sri Nitesh Wadwani, the initiative aims to educate the public about the increasing threat of cybercrimes.
The campaign’s inauguration ceremony witnessed the participation of key dignitaries, including SDJM.Rudraprakash Naik, Additional District Magistrate Vedbar Pradhan, DFO Pratap Kotapalli, and ADMO Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra. They emphasized the critical importance of cybersecurity awareness in today’s digital age.
The cyber safety vehicle embarked on its journey from the District Police Office, Malkangiri, and toured the city, making a notable stop at Malkangiri College. This outreach campaign will run until October 15th, covering seven blocks in the district, disseminating valuable information on safeguarding against cybercrimes.
The event drew a significant audience, including local residents, students, NCC members, and other concerned citizens. The procession was marked by enthusiastic music and dance performances, with volunteers and students holding placards promoting cyber safety.
With cybercrimes on the rise, the Malkangiri District Police Office’s cyber security awareness campaign serves as a commendable effort to empower the community with knowledge and skills to protect themselves in the digital realm. This proactive initiative is expected to contribute significantly to a safer and more cyber-aware community.
