Malkangiri,21, November 2023:-In a bid to unearth the hidden talents of tribal children enrolled in schools under the ST & SC, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare department, the two-day District Level Sargiful-2023 festival kicked off today at the Malyabanta Hostel premises in Malkangiri. A total of 620 students and approximately 200 teachers from Sevashrams, Ashram schools, High schools, higher secondary schools, EMRS, and education complexes across the district are actively participating in this talent search extravaganza.
The festival aims to provide a common platform for both students and teachers to interact, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences during the event. “Sargiful serves as a unique opportunity for students and teachers alike to engage with each other, fostering collaboration and the propagation of inspiring messages among students in their respective areas upon their return to schools,” remarked the speakers during the festival’s inauguration.
Initiated as a means to empower students of SSD schools, Sargiful offers a stage for them to participate, showcase their diverse talents, and express their creativity through a range of extracurricular activities, as highlighted by Sub-Collector Dr. Akshya Kumar Khemundu.
The event’s inauguration witnessed the presence of key dignitaries including Additional District Magistrate (General) Trinath Majhi, ADM (Revenue) Bedabar Pradhan, and District Welfare Officer Praful Bhujabal. Their attendance underscores the significance of Sargiful in promoting inclusivity and tapping into the rich reservoir of talent within the tribal communities of Malkangiri.
As the festival unfolds over the next two days, it is expected to serve as a catalyst for the holistic development of the participating students, offering them a platform to shine and contributing to the cultural and educational enrichment of the entire district.
