Swachata Seva Programme Kicks Off in Mathili GP as Part of Swachh Bharat Mission

Malkangiri, September 17, 2024: The Swachata Seva Programme, under the Swachh Bharat Mission, commenced today in Mathili Gram Panchayat and will continue until October 2, 2024. The initiative, aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene in the community, is being organized by the Block Office, Mathili.
Two major black spots were identified in Mathili GP, and the cleaning drive started at the Weekly Shandy in Mathili. In a bid to encourage active participation from the public, a selfie stand has been installed at the site, allowing people to capture their contributions to the cleanliness drive.
The programme saw the presence of key officials, including APD Admin Ramchandra Khadia, BDO Himanchala Majhi, Chairman Mahesh Baka, PEO Ashok Moharana, and BRC Dilip Dakua. Women villagers, along with members of Self-Help Groups , also actively participated in the event.
The initiative is a step towards ensuring that the Swachh Bharat Mission continues to inspire community participation and responsibility in maintaining public spaces. The cleaning drive will be ongoing, with more community involvement expected in the coming days.
