TPSODL launches (One Time Settlement) Scheme
Customers can avail benefits of upto 30% rebate on electricity arrears till 21st April, 2023
The scheme applies to electricity arrears incurred before December 31, 2020.
Berhampur, Feb. 3 : As per the guidelines prescribed by the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC), TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), has launched OTS (One Time Settlement) Scheme for its customers. The OTS scheme covers 8 southern districts of Odisha that include Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Boudh and Kandhamal. This unique scheme provides upto a 30% rebate on electricity arrears till 21st April, 2023. TPSODL boasts a customer base of 24.1 Lakhs.
“We have continually worked to provide our customers with a variety of innovative offers and schemes from time to time. We are sure that this scheme will provide much-needed relief to our consumers and will benefit them in more ways than one” said, Mr. Arvind Singh, CEO, TPSODL.
As per the One Time Settlement Scheme 2022 of The Odisha State Electricity Regulatory Commission, all LT electricity consumers can avail of benefits such as 30% rebate on electricity arrears and an 80% rebate on delayed payment surcharge (Delayed Payment Surcharge) if the arrear payment is made in full at a time, 20% rebate on electricity arrear and an 80% rebate on delayed payment surcharge if arrear payment is made in two equal monthly installments (50%+50%). Further, a 15% rebate on electricity arrears and an 80% rebate on delayed payment surcharge if arrear payment is made in three monthly installments (50%+ 25%+25%).
Similarly, HT Consumers can also avail benefits of the OTS by paying a maximum of three installments. For HT Consumers, if the arrear is paid in one installment then the rebate on DPS is 60%, for two installments it is 50% , and for three installments the rebate on DPS is 40%.
