Malkangiri, Odisha: 11th district level training programme on farmers counting was held at the Zilla Porishad Bhawan, Malkangiri on Wednesday . The training programme was graced by the presence of the Additional District Magistrate Sri.Maheswar Chandra Nayak and the Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer Sri.Ratnakar Sahu. The two officials emphasized the importance of accurate farmers counting and the crucial role that the officials play in ensuring that the information is collected and recorded accurately.
The objective of the programme was to educate the supervisors, Revenue Inspectors, Block Agricultural Officers, Agricultural Development Officers, Agricultural Sub-Officers, Amin, Senior Field Supervisors, Field Inspectors, and Data Entry Operators from Seven blocks on the farmers counting process.
The participants would be trained for two days on the use of advanced software and tools for data collection and analysis. They would be also taught how to use the software for generating reports and analyzing data, which will help in better planning and implementation of various agricultural schemes and programmes in the region.
The Chief Development Officer Sri. Sahu emphasized the importance of accurate farmers counting and its impact on the development of the district. He encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge gained from the training to improve the quality of data collection and farmers identification.
The programme was attended by a large number of officials including District Planning and monitoring Dy. Director Sri.Golak Chandra Dalai, Sri.Parameswar Rout, SO ,Planning Officer Sri.Suryadev Pradhan and officers from various departments and saw the participation of experts in the field of agriculture and rural development. The participants were trained on various aspects of farmers counting, including the latest techniques and best practices.
