Adani Foundation organizes 3rd Annual School Girls Athlete meet

Dhamra : “Sports are an integral part of every child’s physical and mental development. Engaging in sports and yoga will lead to a healthy life for everyone. Taking this into consideration, the Odisha government has included sports in the education programme, which aims to create opportunities for quality education in the state of Odisha.
Adani Foundation organizes various sports programs at the school level to inculcate a healthy lifestyle while promoting sports activities among school students. Keeping this lakh in mind, Adani Foundation, the social responsibility arm of Adani Dhamra Port, has organized the 3rd Annual School Girls Sports Competition at the two-sponsored Ramnarayan High School playground.
In this competition, 72 students from 12 high schools of Dhamra Port Railway Corridor participated in 6 sports such as 100m run, 2000m run, high throw, long throw, shot put, discus throw, participated in The competition was inaugurated by Mr. Manas Kumar Raut, Physical Sports Officer, Bhadrak District as the Chief Guest and supervised by the physical development teachers, teachers, principals and staff of Adani Foundation of the 12 participating schools.
Finally, the sports winners of participating schools and the first, second and third place winners in the above competition were felicitated by Mr. Kishore Chandra Barik, Headmaster of Achak School, Mr. Samarendra Mishra, Headmaster of CRS High School, Ramnarayan High School Headmistress Mrs. Swadhasmita Tripathi, all the schools. Physical education teacher and Adani Foundation staff member was honoured by presenting the award.
