Malkangiri Odisha 17 April: In a display of communal harmony and respect for all religions, members of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) gathered at the statue in front of the Collectorate Malkangiri on the 26th death anniversary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik . The occasion was marked by a unique prayer ceremony, which saw members of the party offering prayers from various religious traditions.

The ceremony was attended by several prominent leaders of the BJD, including Sri Pradeep Majhi, SDC state advisor, MLA Chitrakonda Purna Chandra Baka, Ex MLA Manas Madkami, and SDC Chairman Adma Rava. The leaders were seen participating in the prayers along with the party workers and members of the public.

The ceremony was particularly noteworthy for the way it embraced religious diversity. Biju Tiradhan Divas is celebrated every year in memory of the late Biju Patnaik, who was a freedom fighter, aviator, and politician. He was known for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Odisha and his dedication to the cause of social justice.
