NTPC Dulanga holds closing ceremony of Annual Safety Fortnight 2021-2022

Sundargarh, Dec 2: The Annual Safety Fortnight 2021-2022 celebrations at the NTPC Dulanga concluded on Thursday with prizes distributed to winners of different competitions.The Mining Department held numerous competitions for employees, ladies, children, contracting agencies, and others throughout the week-long celebrations to promote safety awareness.
At the concluding ceremony, Shri Shivam Srivastava, Head of Project, Dulanga Coal Mining Project praised the team’s efforts to maintain a high level of workplace safety. He emphasised the need of collaborative learning with Mahanadi Coal Field Ltd. Shri Anil Kumar Verma,Chief Manager, (Mining) ,Mahanadi Coal Field Ltd. appreciated NTPC Dulanga’s excellent standard of safety, particularly the training and awareness offered to staff and contract workers.
Earlier,C M Mohanta, Senior Manager (Mining), MCL Ltd. talked about the important role of safety for continuous production of coal.Echoing a similar view, AGM (Mining) and Mine Agent, NTPC Dulanga, Shri Umesh Singh appreciated the Safety Department for its proactive initiatives, and highlighted how adherence to safety rules results in better efficiency. Other senior officials and office bearers of unions and associations also reiterated NTPC’s efforts to ensure zero incidents at the workplace.
Manager (Excavation) Shri Alok Kumar, CM (E&M) Shri P N Pandey,Manager (Survey) Shri Anil Kumar Panda,W/I (Mining) Shri Baban Kumar, W/I (Electrical) Shri G B Dash, W/I (Mechanical) Balaram Singh, Shri Chandrashekhar, DGM (Mining) and Mine Manager , NTPC Dulanga, other senior officials and employees were present.
There was also a display of various stalls exhibiting Safety Apparatus to the evaluation teams and other guests.
The event concluded with inspection of Mines and Different Sections of the Mining Department by the evaluation team . Evaluation team appreciated the efforts made by team Dulanga to adhere to safety norms in its day to day mining activities.
